This celadon ceramic biscotti jar exhibits great formal beauty created by the curvaceous body and the horizontal lines of the mouth and foot as well as a pair of lion-head handles attached at the upper part of the body. Each of the opposite parts of the body is decorated with a large peony design inlaid with black and white slip, creating a delightful color contrast.
