This celadon green ceramic beverage jar features a voluminous spherical body divided into three areas by three vertical furrows. The surface of the body is decorated with black lotus blossoms arranged as if grown from each furrow as well as numerous tiny chrysanthemums inlaid with white slip. The color contrast between the jade blue glaze and black and white flowers is quite delightful.
