This celadon pottery decanter is shaped like a gourd with a spout, handle and lid. The holes at the lid and the vine-like handle are made to secure the lid with a cord. The voluminous body is decorated with boys playing between grape vines inlaid with white and black slips. The grapes highlighted by red copper pigment create a delightful contrast of colors.
