A perfect reproduction of the 18th century Joseon ceramic work listed as National Treasure 93, this white antique porcelain jar exhibits iron designs of a lotus band encircling the neck and a monkey playing between grape vines painted on the upper part of the body. The lower part is left empty, creating a delightful contrast against the rich reddish brown design around the shoulder. The grapes symbolize one's wish to have many children as grapes bear much fruit, while the monkey represents one's hope to gain a high-ranking position in the government as the pronunciation of 'monkey' in Chinese characters is the same as 'feudal lords.'
